Job Scope

• Write high-quality, clean, elegant, maintainable and testable code.
• Work with PMs, Designers, to build products with that reduce complexity in favor of simplicity.
• Obsess about the user experience, and do what it takes to deliver a superior experience.
• Maintain code quality for an open source codebase, and quickly respond to errors pointed out by the community.

What you need to have

• Production experience with JS production codebases  (i.e. Node.js, React).
• Familiar with best practices in the Javascript ecosystem (i.e. Typescript, Webpack, Babel).
• Familiar with performance tuning for Node.js (e.g. concurrency handling, caching, stability).
• Strong fundamentals of data modelling, databases, caching (RDBMS, NoSQL, Redis).
• Strong fundamentals of building web services (websockets, controller abstraction).
• Strong technical discipline and habits to produce clean code (TDD, refactoring).
• Strong technical hygiene for collaboration and deployment (Git, CI / CD).
• Strong knowledge of software design best practices (12-factor apps).
• Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, databases).

Nice to Have

• DevOps skills (i.e. AWS, GCP, Tencent Cloud).
• Understanding of code packaging and delivery (Docker, k8s, etc).
• Familiarity with Chinese technology ecosystem (e.g. Getui, Tencent Cloud etc).
